Topps (USA) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Back To The Future Part II The Film Stickers 1989 Back To The Future Part II The Film Stickers 1989 LT11 - As the title suggests these stickers are from the Back to the Future II film in which Michael J Fox reprises his role as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyds again plays his wacky scientist friend ‘Doc’. Instead of going back to the past this time they travel in Doc’s DeLoren into the future (from 1985 to 2015) in order to sort out Marty’s grandchildren. As with the first film all sorts of mayhem follows and the film ends on a cliff-hanger with Doc accidentally transported back to 1885, which laid the grounds for the next sequel which was filmed immediately afterwards. This sticker set features action from the film whilst the cardboard backs contain a sectional picture of Marty. issued in conjunction with the set of 88 cards Size 89 x 64mm

Wrights Biscuits Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Mischief Goes to Mars Name at Side, but not on base 1954 Mischief Goes to Mars Name at Side, but not on base 1954 24 - Wright’s were well-known biscuit manufacturers in the North East but their biscuits became popular all over the country when they had the brilliant idea of getting famous illustrator Mabel Lucie Attwell to create a character which become their trademark. Mabel drew a small boy called Mischief and children in the 1950s could join his club and get a free badge. In 1954 the company produced a set of cards titled Mischief Goes to Mars in which the fictional boy and his sister Marie accompany their uncle Jet Wright, a rocket ship pilot, on a trip to Mars, but not before stocking up with several cartons of Wright’s biscuits! The Mars they land on is full of helicopter like aircraft and friendly martians who are used to contact with Earth. After exploring this planet they return home with Mischief vowing to become a rocket pilot like his uncle. The story is explained on the numbered backs which has the name on the sides but not at the bottom. Two similar series were also produced, the only difference being that one has “Join the Mischief Club’ at the base and the other has “Issued by Wright’s Biscuits Ltd’ at the base. see website for availability A charming little set with Thunderbird style rockets. The cards are size 68 x 36mm.

The up-dating of the Snow White story received mixed reviews at the time, but these cards, which we think were taken from movie posters, are lovely in their own right.
