These include the Dandy Horse which was like a bicycle, but had no pedals so you walked it along, a Knight motor car of 1895, the bizaare Dicycle which consisted of two huge wheels with a seat in between but did have pedals, the first petrol driven car of 1875, the Lever Tricycle which had two small wheels but also a large one, the famous Penny Farthing, an early car which used steam, a Lanchester Military Car from 1900, an 1898 Daimler, a Napier Racing Car, the first London Motor Bus, an 1896 Rolls car and a Butler Tricar from 183. Fascinating stuff. Cards size 48 x 28mm.

Leesley (USA) Motoring Big Foot (Trucks) 1988 Big Foot (Trucks) 1988 LT100 - “Bigfoots” are four wheeled drive pick-up trucks with massive tyres which tour American shows demonstrating their manouverability over rough ground, impossibly steep slopes, on rivers etc., and doing tricks like climbing over a row of cars, as we can see in this series of pictures with descriptive backs. Players Motoring Motor Cars 2nd Series 1997 (CCS reprint 2000) Motor Cars 2nd Series 1997 (CCS reprint 2000) 50 - A reprint of the first series has been popular and now we can add the second series, originally issued in 1937 and featuring the then latest models to be found on the roads of Britain, from humble Morris (on the road price £225, annual tax £10.10s) to luxury Rolls (2,720 and £38.5s). Perhaps best value of all is a Morgan for well under £200 with a road tax of just £7.10s. Wonderful nostalgia, Size 68 x 36mm.

Wills Miscellaneous Cigarette Cards Safety First 1934 (CCS reprint 2000) Safety First 1934 (CCS reprint 2000) 50 - Road safety was a real problem in 1934 when these were originally issued and the colourful cards illustrate some of the dangers. Actually aside from issues with tramlines and using hand signals as there were no indicators most these safety instructions are still relevant today, but it is the charming vintage pictures which are the real attraction. The warnings include not overtaking on bends, not squeezing through traffic if you are a motor-cyclist, how to pass animals, how to correct a skid and not to throw anything from a moving car as well as how to cross safely. There is plenty of further information on the card backs. Cards size 68 x 36mm.

Brindley Motoring Bentley Cars 1993 Bentley Cars 1993 30 - Well-known for their luxury cars the company was founded by Walter Owen Bentley in 1919 and became famous for wining the 1924 24 hours Le Mans race. Walter Bentley began by selling foreign cars, but always wanted to produce his own and when he got the chance he made sure they were attractive and reliable. Some of the best models are pictured in this series taking us from the early days to an Empress II of the 1990s. The cars are pictured against pale pastel backgrounds with a shiny surface and the backs give details of the model and in many cases the year these came out, but sadly no other facts.
