Golden Era Motoring British Buses of the 1950s 1999 British Buses of the 1950s 1999 L10 - In the immediate post-war period buses were the main means of transport for the masses and motor-cars were comparatively uncommon. The network of routes meant that even remote areas were well-served by public transport, a sad cry from today’s state of affairs. The cards in this set show that Britain’s bus builders offered operating companies a variety of single and double-deck vehicles to suit route requirements and examples in this set include AEC Regent, Bristol Daimler, Dennis, Guy Arab, Leyland Titan etc., impeccably produced with excellent text backs. Size 79 x 62mm.

Golden Era Motoring British Buses of the 1960s 1999 British Buses of the 1960s 1999 L10 - By the 1960s passenger numbers had started falling as motor cars began to exert their dominance. One man operated buses became common to reduce costs and a new generation of vehicles emerged as we see in this set which contains the Daimler Fleetline, Bristol Lodekka, the Leyland Atlantean, etc. An excellent series in the same format as the company’s British Buses of the 1950s series. Size 79 x 62mm.

All are lovingly portrayed in this excellent set with text backs. Size 78 x 62mm.

Golden Era Motoring British Trucks (1950s and 1960s) 2010 British Trucks (1950s and 1960s) 2010 L10 - Golden Era did a set in 1999 then it was titled “British Lorries of the 1950s & 1960s”. This new series calls them trucks instead of lorries. The subjects are British through and through, with examples from Austin, Foden, Fordson, Leyland, Morris and Scammell, plus a Bedford TK of the type I once drove myself as a summer job, all dating from the 1950s and 1960s. Mike Jeffries original artwork is absolutely superb, recreating the period perfectly and in stunning detail, whilst the texts are of the high quality we expect from this firm. Size 79 x 62mm.

The classic vehicles were built to last – witness the “new lock” Guy Arab MK IV in service with Birmingham City Transport from 1950 to 1977. This set is a must for anyone with even a passing interest in P.S.Vs. Size 79 x 62mm.
