Rockwell Military - General Series World War II Posters The Home Front 2001 World War II Posters The Home Front 2001 10 - “Dig for Victory”, “Careless Talk Costs Lives”, “Switch Off The Light” and “Is Your Journey Really Necssary” are just some of the poster campaigns designed to aid the war effort on the Home Front. Particularly appealing is the “Save Kitchen Waste to Feed the Pigs” card with six little piggies saying “Thanks”. They get the message over with a catchy slogan and some brilliant artwork that would put to shame some of today’s advertising efforts. Churchill’s on the back pointing his finger. This large size set, issued in 2001, is also available in a standard size. This set is size 79 x 62mm.

Rockwell Military - General Series World War II Posters The Services 2001 World War II Posters The Services 2001 10 - As with other World War II Poster series by Rockwell Churchill again appears on the back of these cards. The fronts contain a series of colour posters of classy artwork cajoling civilians to join the war effort in various guises such as The Women’s Land Army, A.T.S., Wrens, R.A.F., Pioneer Corps., National Fire Service etc. Some of the slogans would not be politically correct these days and the R.A.F. poster features what looks like a World War I dogfight and not a spitfire in sight. This large size set is also available in a small format and is 79 x 62mm.
