Yorkshire Framing Co Golf The 36th Ryder Cup 2006 The 36th Ryder Cup 2006 14 - At Ireland’s K Club in September 2005 Europe beat the UA 13 ½ to 9 ½ to claim the Ryder Cup, the trophy presented to the P.G.A. in 1927 as the prize for an international competition between British and American professional golfers. This series of colour cards shows us the cup, and captain Ian Woosnam holding it triumphantly aloft, plus the twelve members of the Europe team, Olazabal, Montgomerie, Garcia, etc, with matchplay details on the backs. The backs list their victories and details of their birth except for card number 13 which pictures the trophy and gives details of the venue and teams on the reverse.
