Pacific (USA) Military - General Series World War II 1992 World War II 1992 LT110 - Whilst not dealing directly with the attack on Pearl Harbor which brought America into the war this set does cover the background and takes us through the Pacific campaign with some stunning photographs from the U.S. National Archives. The war in Europe is featured less comprehensively, concentrating on the American contribution. There are also sections dealing with war propaganda posters, key aircraft from both sides, war leaders including Hitler and Tojo and U.S. Commanders. J.F. Kennedy is also pictured in navy lieutenant’s uniform; his PT boat was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer. The texts are excellent. Size 89 x 64mm.
