World of Firearms 1982

* These are original and NOT reprints
Description: Originally inserted with Embassy Slim Panatelas these cards contain colour drawings of a firearm together with an action picture of the weapon in use. They range from “an early English hand gun” (which looks like a cannon on a stick) to the ‘L1A1 Rifle’ a semi-automatic weapon used by the British Army. Along the way we are introduced to a ‘matchlock musket’, ‘wheel-lock pistol’, the ‘blunderbuss’ which was issued to mail coach guards, the ‘Kentucky rifle’ used for hunting and in the American Civil War, a ‘flintlock duelling pistol’, a ‘Deringer percussion pistol’ of the type used to assassinate President Lincoln, a ‘Colt Navy Model revolver’, the odd looking ‘Apache pistol’ without a barrell, ‘Winchester rifle’, Webley revolver’ as used in WWI, a ‘Luger P08 pistol’, ‘Colt .45 automatic’, ‘Lee-Enfield Mk3’, ‘Bren Gun’, Russian ‘Kalashnikov AK47’ and a ‘Uzi submachine gun’ which is reputed to be the finest of its type ever made. An album was original available to house the set. The informative text on the backs make this a fascinating set with cards size 70 x 44mm. Number of cards in set: M36
Abbreviations used for Number In Set:
EL = Extra Large; LT = Large Trade ( size 89 x 64mm); L = Large; M = Medium; K = Miniature.
