Included, of course, is the Mini or more correctly, as card no. 46 states, Morris Mini Minor, which we are told was the “first really revolutionary mass-produced British car whose remarkable features were its unique front-wheel drive design with a transverse engine enclosing the gearbox in the crankcase, tiny 10-inch wheels and all-independent variable rubber suspension.” If you prefer speed to small and practical then you will appreciate some of the other cars in this set such as the 1935 ‘Bluebird’ in which Malcom Campbell broke the 300mph speed record, a Ferrari P4 with its V12 engine, the Cooper-Climax Grand Prix winner from 1958, the sleek 1948 Jaguar XK120, a 1938 Alfa Romeo and 1936 BMW etc. This set was re-issued by Brooke Bond in 1974 with black text on the backs. An ideal set for any car enthusiast. Size 68 x 36mm.
