The sequence of captioned pictures on each card makes you feel as though you are in the crowd. Plain backs. Size 130 x 100mm.

J.F.Sporting Collectibles Rugby Union & League Rugby League Stars Pre 1950 (2016) Rugby League Stars Pre 1950 (2016) LT24 - As the title implies these are Rugby League players whose careers took place before 1950, for instance, Walter Scott of Barrow had his final game in March 1933. Amongst the others featured include Bradford Northern’s Frank Whitcome who played in five Rugby League Challenge Cup finals, Jim Denton of Featherstone Rovers who along with brother Sid played in the clubs first game in the Northern Rugby League in 1931, Duggy Clarke of Huddersfield who scored 99 tries and also enjoyed success as a World Heavyweight Wrestler as well as earning a military medal in WW1, Hull’s Billy Batten, Hunslet’s Hector Crowther, Les Adams of Leeds who was unfortunately badly burned in WW2, Australian born winger Eric Harris of Leeds, Salford’s Emilyn Jenkins, Swinton’s Henry Blewer, Hull\'s J. Harrison who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for bravery and the legendary Jim Sullivan of Wigan. The numbered backs contain plenty of interesting details about the stars. Size 91 x 65mm.

J.F.Sporting Collectibles Rugby Union & League Rugby League Stars in Action 1940/50s (2007) Rugby League Stars in Action 1940/50s (2007) LT24 - Captured on these black and white photos are glimpses of tough Rugby League match action in the years just after the war. Among the stars are Mick Sullivan a member of the Great Britain team that won the first World Cup, who joined Wigan in 1957 for a record fee of £9,500. In fact there are no fewer than five Wigan players in the set, the other teams represented being Workington, Warrington, St. Helens, Oldham, Leigh, Leeds, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Bradford Northern, Batley, Barrow, Hull and Hull K.R. Size 90 x 64mm.
