Their success with such hits as “Daydream Believer”, “Last Trains to Clarksville” and “I’m a Believer” is ironic as they began as actors in a TV series about an imaginary band who wanted to be as popular as the Beatles but never succeeded. The show aired between 1966 and 1968 and although initially they were kept too busy to visit the recording studio they did begin putting out records particularly after the show was cancelled. They cards picture American trio Michael Nesmith, Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork together with British actor/singer Davy Jones in a variety of poses, often clowning around, and some have facsimile autographs on the front. The backs make up into a colour picture of the band. Cards size 81 x 56
