Included are the Nawab of Pataudi who after playing for Oxford went on to play for Worcestershire and in tests for both England and India, K.J. Key who also played rugby, Cambridge star T.C. Lowry who led the New Zealand Test team, F.S. Jackson who captained Cambridge in the 1890s and saw service in the Boer War, all-round athlete C.B Fry Oxford captain in 1894, C.T. Ottaway an amateur batsman who also won an England cap for football, Oxford’s B.J.T. Bosanquet credited with perfecting the googly, P.F. Warner who was later knighted for services to cricket, D.R. Jardine who later captained England on the famous ‘Bodyline’ tour, H.G. Owen-Smith who also excelled at boxing and rugby and Cambridge star H.J. Mordaunt who’s brother was also a Cambridge blue. The interesting facts on the back make this a fine cricket set with cards size 92 x 65mm.
