In the first series the famous character John Steed (played by Patrick Macnee) was second in command to Dr David Keel played by Ian Hendry, but after Ian left at the end of the first series Steed became the main character and developed his distinctive English gentleman look. Steed was partnered by a succession of female assistants played by Honor Blackman, Emma Peel and later Linda Thorson and cards number 2 to 45 picture action shots from the show up to the end of Season 3 in March 1964.
