Barbers Tea Railways Railway Equipment 1958 Railway Equipment 1958 24 - Many companies have issued cards depicting locomotives or engines, but this set offers something a little different as it focuses on some of the behind-the-scenes equipment that keeps the service running, all pictured in colour with informative text on the back. We see, for instance, a coaling plant, inside Waterloo signal box, a sleet tender, a weed-killing train, a West Coast Postal train, diesel-electric shunting locomotive, inside a second class sleeping card and a kitchen car, a steam breakdown crane, hydraulic buffers, signals, Whitemoor marshalling yard, inside a locomotive erecting shop, containers being craned etc., although they have managed to include a few locos as well. Fascinating stuff for any train enthusiast. Cards size 69 x 35mm.
