Past and Present Weapons of War 1938
Teofani Military - General Series Past and Present Weapons of War 1938 Past and Present Weapons of War 1938 24 - The subjects are 'paired' with an example from the past being followed by one from the present - that is 1938. It is amazing how close the analagies are. Even the tank had its prototype in the 'Tortoise' of the Middle Ages the only difference being an improvement in mechanical effectiveness. Obviously there have been many further advances in weaponry in the seventy years or so since these cards were issued and the excellent colour pictures and informative texts have the additional interest of allowing us to compare present-day armaments with what was state of the art in 1938.
