It features colour head and shoulders drawings of members of the Labour government such as Tony Blair, John Prescott, Gordon Brown, Robin Cook, Mo Mowlam, Peter Mandelson, Harriet Harman etc. The excellent artwork by Denise Dean really captures the personality of the subjects and are shown (appropriately) on a red background. The numbered and titled backs give career and personal details. Highly commended these are size 91 x 60mm.

Gaycon Miscellaneous Trade Cards History of the Blue Lamp 1st Series 1961 History of the Blue Lamp 1st Series 1961 25 - Traditionally blue lamps hung outside British police stations and this set tells the story of the policing and the villains they dealt with beginning Ancient Druids and ending in the days of Queen Anne. The text on the back is written as if by the copper in popular police show Dixon of Dock Green and contains a copyright by Ted Willis Ltd who created the series. This looks at early ways of ensuring good behaviour from tything-men and shire-reeves of the Saxons, lawmakers like Alfred the Great, Norman trials by battle and ‘Frank-pledge’, trials by ordeal and early Sergeants of the Middle Ages, Tudor stocks and watchmen plus some of the villains like ‘Moll Cut-purse’, murdering London crooks known as ‘Mohocks’ and stagecoach robbers. A 2nd Series was also issued which continued the story. Cards size 67 x 36mm.

Gaycon Miscellaneous Trade Cards History of the Blue Lamp 2nd Series 1961 History of the Blue Lamp 2nd Series 1961 25 - This set continues the story of law enforcement and criminals which was begun in the 1st series also issued in 1961. As before the text on the back is written as if by P.C. George Dixon from popular police show Dixon of Dock Green and contains a copyright by Ted Willis Ltd who created the series. This set begins with the often corrupt thief-takers of the 18th century then continues with lawless apprentices who formed into teenage gangs, the first detective Capt. T. de Veil a government agent who operated out of a yard near Whitehall known as Scotland Yard, early magistrate Henry Fielding and Bow Street Runners, horse patrols, an early police force of1821, river pirates, proper police of 1829 known as ‘Peelers’, rebellions against the Peelers, mounted police, river police, motor-cycle police, women police, radio cars and dog handlers. The last card pictures P.C. Dixon himself and on the back he assures children that police are there to help. Interesting stuff with cards size 67 x 36mm.
