The artwork is impressive, almost photographic in its detail, as you can see in our illustration of the church by the river green at Thorpe St Andrew. Size 90 x 60mm.

Wilson's own colour photographs grace the fronts and he had also written the historical texts. Included is the tiny thatched church at Markby, we learn that the five bells in the tower at South Ormsby were hung 250 years ago, and hanging in Strubby church is a list of clergy going back to 1180.
