The more well-known actresses include Virginia Bruce, Ruth Channing, Lilian Harvey, Ann Sheridan and Eleanor Powell, some of the others include Priscilla Lawson who appeared in the 1936 Flash Gordon film, Nan Grey who starred with John Wayne in ‘Sea Spoilers’ in 1936 and went on to invent a cosmetic mirror for near-sighted women, Pauline Goddard who was the leading lady of Charlie Chaplin in ‘Modern Times’ and real life, plus ‘Wizard of Oz’ baddie Mary Hamilton who played the Wicked Witch of the West, but is shown here looking altogether more appealing.
