Inkworks (USA) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Planet of the Apes Archives 1999 Planet of the Apes Archives 1999 LT90 - It was back in 1968 that the original Planet of the Apes film hit the big screen as the ‘upside-down’ civilisation encountered by astronaut George Taylor (Charlton Heston) on his return to earth. The ground-breaking sci-fi film led to four sequels and two TV series. These cards show us not only shots and characters, but also design and make–up, filming in progress and scenes that were cut to reduce the film’s length. Extremely interesting texts give inside information such as Charlton Heston being won over by studio chief Richard Zanuck to appear in the sequel, despite his feeling it would dilute the impact of the original. Size 89 x 63mm.
