Football Personalities Pre Great War 1st Series 2015

Description: As the title suggests we are really going back in time with this series of black and white pictures of footballers whose careers cover a period from the 1890s to just before the First World War. They include Billy Malpass who made 155 appearances for Wolves, West Brom’s Jesse Pennington, who captained the team that won the First Division Championship, and star player Bill Bassett, Third Lanark’s Robert Barr, Sunderland’s Hughie Wilson who was signed for £70 in 1890, Jimmy Ross the Preston North End star who scored one of the goals in their 3-0 F A Cup final win, Liverpool’s Harry Storer who also played cricket for Derbyshire and Celtic all-time great outside-left Jimmy Quinn. The numbered backs contain a wealth of information regarding the player. Size 91 x 64mm. Number of cards in set: LT24
