Bridgewater Ltd were known for their tiny film stars series and this 8th Series was issued in 1940. Among the stars included in this set are Clark Gable, Virginia Bruce, Claudette Colbert, George Raft, Charles Laughton, Gary Cooper, Dorothy Lamour, James Stewart, Bette Davis, Randolph Scott, Norma Shearer, Spencer Tracy, Errol Flynn, Robert Donat, Myrna Loy, Deanna Durbin, Ronald Colman, Greer Garson, William Powell, Joan Crawford, Maureen O’Sullivan and Ida Lupino. The black and white head and shoulders photographs are captioned in a white box at the bottom with the star’s name and the studio’s name appears in the bottom corner of the picture.
