Amalgamated Tobacco Ships & Shipping Famous British Ships, 2nd Series 1952 Famous British Ships, 2nd Series 1952 M25 - Issued by Amalgamated Tobacco of South African these are colourful pictures of famous ships with text on the back in English and Afrikaans. There are two series available, but these cards are from the 2nd Series which features ships such as the Endurance used by Ernest Shackleton, HMS Achilles, Ajax and Exeter, the Rawalpindi which is shown sinking after being attacked by a German battleship, Cunard’s Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth, the Ark Royal which was sunk in the Mediterranean, a British submarine, a lightship and the 1947 vessel City of London. With good pictures and informative text what more could you want. Cards size 75 x 49mm.

Victory, Brunel’s Great Eastern, Cunard’s Britannia and Mauretania and Olympic which was a sister ship to Titanic. With good pictures and informative text what more could you want.
