Ogdens Railways Construction of Railway Trains 1930 (CCS reprint 1999) Construction of Railway Trains 1930 (CCS reprint 1999) 50 - This is a fascinating set, particularly if you are a fan of steam trains. It takes you through every stage of the process of making a locomotive from the raw steel to the painting of the coaches and what a lot of manual labour was involved. You can practically feel the heat of the furnace and see the sweat of the men as they struggle to manoeuvre the heavy parts into place. The colour pictures show inside the Swindon and Derby railway works and the backs contain interesting information about the process shown.
