Barker Miscellaneous Trade Cards Circus Scenes 1961 Circus Scenes 1961 EL24 - This set was produced in collaboration with Bertam Mills’ Circus and pictures the acts and the Mills Brothers, Cyril and Bernard who carried on the circus founded by their father Bertram. In those days animal acts were still considered acceptable so there are elephants balancing and driving a car, lions and tigers and their tamers, horses and ponies, dogs and monkeys as well as human clowns, trapeze acts, high wire performers, the Ringmaster etc. There are also interesting pictures of the circus on the road and the outside of the big top. The card backs tell you all about circus life. An interesting set taking a peek at circus life in the 1960s. The cards are size 97 x 50mm
