Primrose Amazing Black Friday to Cyber Monday Deals Popeye 3rd Series 1961 Popeye 3rd Series 1961 50 - This is sure to bring back memories as it features cartoon character Popeye the famous sailor and pipe smoking man who acquires legendary strength when he consumes spinach. These brightly coloured cartoons show Popeye and family in a variety of situations with a comedy caption underneath such as the card showing Popeye in a café captioned “The coffee tastes like mud?” “Not surprising it was only ground this morning!”. Our favourite has to be the one of Popeye and child in a gallery looking at a statue without hands which is captioned “See what happings if ya bites yer fingernails!”. The backs contains adverts for Primrose sweets including their Penny Bars and “try more Primrose Popeye Sweet for scrumptious fun” as well as a Popeye picture card album which you could send away for to house your cards.
