Description: Between 1991 and 1993 Brindley produced five sets of M20 Birds of Britain with glossy fronts which are numbered consecutively from 1 to 100. These colour pictures have the look of old prints and contain a range of different British birds, some of which are in danger and some that are only seasonal visitors to these shores. Included in this 4th Series, numbered 61 to 80, are the Rook, Skylark, Swift, the Wryneck which we must admit we hadn’t heard of, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Kingfisher, Cuckoo, Barn, Long-Eared and Tawny Owls, Golden Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Shag, Bittern, Sheld-Duck, Shoveller, Wigeon and Tufted Duck. Most have the cards have two birds on them either different varieties of the bird or an adult male with a female or young. The backs give plenty of information, but the print is quite small. An excellent bird set with cards size 70 x 64mm Number of cards in set: M20
