F.P.G (USA) Fantasy Art Bernie Wrightson Frankenstein Numbered F1 to F44 1993 Bernie Wrightson Frankenstein Numbered F1 to F44 1993 LT44 - This set is based on his wonderful artwork published in Marvel Comics in 1983 which was based on the famous Frankenstein book by Mary Shelley produced in 1831. Bernie was a well-known and much loved illustrator or both comics and horror books, but Frankenstein was in a league of its own. It took him seven years to complete the illustrations and script and he described it as a labour of love. The illustrations were given a period style, based on the original book and not subsequent films. This set by F.P.G really does do justice to the artwork. The black and white fronts illustrate the story, whilst the numbered backs show a graveyard scene with repeat mini picture on one of the stones and quotes from the artist in bright green writing. The set also includes a checklist. these are wonderfully gothic cards. Size 89 x 64mm
