Lamberts Tea Sports Miscellaneous Sports and Games 1964 Sports and Games 1964 25 - This is a lovely and unusual set featuring colour pictures of different sports from the common such as athletics, tennis, football, rugby, boxing, cricket and golf to the less well-represented on cards such as fencing, swimming, bob-sleighing, T.T racing, archery, skiing, greyhound racing, rowing, canoeing, ice hockey, climbing, net ball, table tennis and yachting. Included also is fox-hunting which these days would not be regarded as either a sport or game and even on the card is described as a pastime. The backs contain plenty of information about the subject, for instance, we are told table tennis was formerly called ping-pong or that ice hockey is said to be the fastest game in the world. This set was also issued by Amalgamated Tobacco and Ewbanks. The cards are size 67 x 36mm.
