Redsky Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Claudia Cardinale 2011 Claudia Cardinale 2011 10 - Redsky continue their mini-series ten-card pictorial tributes to film stars of the 1960s with these colour head and shoulders photos of the lovely Claudia Cardinale the Italian who was actually born in Tunisia in 1938. As with the earlier Redsky sets the backs make up into a sectional black and white portrait. More information about the star would have been preferable. Size 68 x 36mm.

There are four sub sets : character cards, story cards, Dreamworld rookies and guest artist gallery. You would have to specialise in this kind of subject to full appreciate this set. Size 89 x 64mm.

Redsky Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Doris Day 2011 Doris Day 2011 10 - Doris Day, or rather Doris Kappelhoff, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1924 and became hugely successful as both a singer and an actress starring in such light-hearted up-lifting films as ‘Pillow Talk’, ‘April in Paris’, ‘Love Me or Leave’ etc., and having a string of hit records through the 1950s and ‘60s. Presented in Redsky’s usual format of colour photo fronts and sectional backs. Size 68 x 36mm.

Dart (USA) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Fern Gully The Last Rainforest 1992 Fern Gully The Last Rainforest 1992 LT100 - Although card number one laments the depletion of forest resources claiming “you can make a difference”, that’s pretty well the end of the conservation stuff – the rest is a fantasy world inhabited by cartoon forest fairies led by Crysta who, predictably, has “magic powers of nature to heal the rainforest.” The nine main characters feature as colouring cards at the end of the sequence. Brooklyn-born in 1918, the beautiful red-head with a firey reputation, starred in a raft of box-office successes in the 1940s and ‘50s, including ‘Blood and Sand’, ‘Separate Tables’ and ‘Pal Joey’. Incidentally she was a cousin of Ginger Rogers and the second of her five husbands was Orson Welles. She died in 1987, Colour photo fronts, sectional backs, size 68 x 36mm.
