The colour pictures in a mixture of vertical and horizontal format depict pioneers in a variety of fields - Science, medicine, aviation, exploration etc from Christopher Columbus to Baden Powell. The most up-to-date illustrations being of a Consul motor car on the assembly line at Dagenham with Henry Ford inset, and a Royal Navy helicopter on the Igor Sikorsky card.
