Solo Cards Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Glamour Girls 25th Series 2019 (From the 1950s,60s and 70s) Glamour Girls 25th Series 2019 (From the 1950s,60s and 70s) 10 - These blue-tinted photos of lesser known actresses and models have proved very popular so it is no surprise Solo Cards have added a couple more. This set is the twenty fifth in the series and features English actresses Juliet Harmer who appeared in ‘Bless this House’, Gabriella Licudi best known for her appearance ‘Danger Man’, American Lainie Kazan who made 50 movies and understudied Barbara Streisand’s role in ‘Funny Girl’, Italian actress Stefania Casini who is also a screenwriter and director, Italian actress and singer Antonella Lualdi, Christiane Rucker who in addition to a successful acting career appeared as a model in Mayfair magazine, former Miss Italia beauty winner Gianna Maria Canale later known for her Italian horror films, French actress Jacqueline Sassard, Milja Vujanvic who controversially appeared nude in the 1969 film ‘Early Works’ which won a Golden Bear Award in Berlin and Antibes born Sabine Sun who starred in ‘The Jigsaw Man’ with Michael Caine. This batch includes Italian comedy star Giovanna Ralli, Norweigan Lillian Muller who has appeared on American TV in such shows as Starsky & Hutch and Charlie’s Angels, German born actress Helga Line who fled with her family to Portugal in the war and made a number of spaghetti westerns, Simonetta Vitelli who acted under the stage name of Simone Blondell, Iranian actress Tanya Lemani who appeared as Kara in the original Star Trek series, Silvia Dionisio who made her movie debut aged 14, Kathy Kersh who appeared in the 1966 Batman series and married he co-star Burt Ward, Marlys Burdette who was third in the Miss California Bikini Contest, German actress Uta Levka who appeared on TV and film in her homeland and British actress Vanessa Howard who starred in \r\nexploitation and horror films. J.F.Sporting Collectibles Football Huddersfield Town 1952/53 Team Squad 2018 Huddersfield Town 1952/53 Team Squad 2018 LT16 - These cards celebrate the Huddersfield Town football team of the 1952/53 season who having been relegated from the First Division the previous season made an instant return, finishing up as runners-up just two points behind the champions Sheffield United. These black and white pictures introduce us to the team, ending with a team photo. The players include Vic Metcalfe who earned two England caps as well as making 434 league appearances for the club, Roy Shiner who scored a hat-trick in the final game of the season, goalie Jack Wheeler and Jimmy Glazzard who missed just one game that season and scored 30 goals. City’s Denis Law later played for rivals Man. United, Birmingham’s Gordon Taylor better known as head of the P.F.A., West Brom’s Jeff Astle, Derek Dougan of Wolves who later managed the club, Stoke’s Geoff Hurst who was also one of the heroes of England’s 1966 World Cup victory, Bob Hatton of Blackpool, Sunderland’s Frank Worthington who was Division One top scorer in the 1978/79 season and Don rogers of Crystal Palace. Super Soccer Stars Football Super Soccer Stars (Footballers from the 1960s and 70s) 2019 Super Soccer Stars (Footballers from the 1960s and 70s) 2019 10 - This issuer is new to us, but their football set is nicely done and makes a welcome addition. It pictures in colour some of the legends of the past such as Rodney Marsh of Manchester City, Notts. Forest’s Tony Woodcock who later played in Germany, Liverpool’s Tommy Smith, Bryan Robson who signed for Newcastle in 1962, Hull’s Stuart Pearson who played 15 times for England, Stoke and Ireland star Terry Conroy, Charlie George of Arsenal, footballing legend George Best pictured in Hibrnian kit, Norman Hunter of Leeds United and Sammy McIlroy of Manchester United who was Matt Busby’s last signing for the club. The numbered backs contain plenty of interesting information for instance we learn that George Best was sacked by Hibs for going drinking with the French rugby side and not turning up at the Hibs ground until a week later!
