Forty years on, Doctor Who has achieved cult status and a new series of programmes is currently in production for screening in the autumn. This card set introduces us to the various Doctors through to Sylvester McCoy (1987) and Paul McCann (in the 1996 TV movie) before displaying black and white or colour scenes with the backs packed with information about every aspect of the production, which ran to 160 adventures. Strictly Ink (UK) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Doctor Who Big Screen 2003 Doctor Who Big Screen 2003 LT100 - In 1964 American production company AARU paid the BBC and Terry Nation £500 for the rights to make a cinema film based on the first Doctor Who TV serial featuring the Daleks. Production began at Shepperton Studios in 1965 with a budget of £180,000 and the film was released that summer to lukewarm critical reaction, despite starring Peter Cushing as The Doctor, we learn on the first two cards in this series which goes on to showcase scenes from the film and some of the actors such as Bernard Cribbins, Philip Madoc and, of course, the Daleks. Story and interesting facts on the back. Size 89 x 63mm.

Author Leslie Charteris’s hero Simon Templar, rogue, gentleman and saviour, was brought to life by actor Roger Moore whose suave and sophisticated persona proved to be a great hit with the many women he encountered, whilst assorted villains soon discovered he was not to be underestimated as an opponent. These black and white cards (or colour, depending on the period) show scenes and characters, including special guests like Honor Blackman, Shirley Eaton, etc., plus descriptive backs. Size 89 x 64mm.
