Como Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Lennys Adventures (49 different cards from the set of 50 Minus No. 5) 1960 Lennys Adventures (49 different cards from the set of 50 Minus No. 5) 1960 49 out of 50 - These are black and white cartoons of children’s TV character ‘Lenny the Lion’ a puppet designed by ventriloquist Terrence Hall. The original puppet was made of old fox fur, papier-mãchè and had a golf ball for a nose and Lenny had his own TV show ‘The Lenny The Lion Show’ between 1957 and 1960 with subsequent spin-of shows and appearances. These cards picture Lenny in humorous situations which are described on the card backs and one of these cards was originally issued in each 1d packet of Lenny the Lion sweet cigarettes. The sketches have a high degree of charm, as indeed had the loveable character they portray. Cards size 64 x 32mm.
