Royal A.M.C. Historical Museum Military - General Series Centenary Year Royal Army Medical Corps. Victoria Crosses 1898-1998 Centenary Year Royal Army Medical Corps. Victoria Crosses 1898-1998 M16 - Produced by the Royal Army Medical Corps’ Museum at Keogh Barracks, Aldershot, this series illustrates scenes of bravery by medics earning the Victoria Cross for valour, a total of fourteen between 1899 and 1945, the last being awarded to Lance Corporal Henry Harden, a medical orderly with the Royal Marine Commando, who repeatedly rescued wounded comrades whilst under fire, later dying of his own wounds. Card 15 is the Netley V.C deposited by Queen Victoria in the foundation stone of the Royal Victoria Hospital and transferred to the R.A.M.C. Museum when that building was demolished. Card 16 is the Corps’ badge and list of V.Cs. Size 85 x 55mm.
