Wilson Dogs and Pets The South Wold (Lincolnshire) Foxhounds 2004 The South Wold (Lincolnshire) Foxhounds 2004 L4 - This is not the first time Robert Wilson has had his camera handy to capture pictures of foxhunting in the Lincolnshire Wolds. He shows the hounds and huntsmen in idyllic rural scenes, colourful pictures with a gold border, and not a fox anywhere in sight. Descriptive backs pinpoint the locations and the dates of the meets, all in 2003. Size 90 x 63mm.

Wilson Sports Miscellaneous Wilford Bowls Club 2007 Wilford Bowls Club 2007 LT6 - The game of bowls is alive and well at Wilford, judging by these photographs of players in action on the green. The texts are by Tony Walker (pictured on no. 6), the club coach and secretary, who has represented Nottinghamshire on several occasions winning the County Secretary’s Cup in 1996 and 2006. An unusual subject neglected by card issuers. Size 90 x 63mm.

Wilson Motoring Vintage Tractors 2002 Vintage Tractors 2002 L10 - This firm made good use of local Lincolnshire interest to come up with subjects for card series, this time vintage tractors, pictured in colour at fairs, rallies and shows around the county all nicely finished with a gold border with what, when and where on the back. Models range from a 1935 Case to a 1962 Doe Triple D and include a1961 David Brown one of which is still in use on a smallholding locally. Size 79 x 62mm.

Wilson Miscellaneous Trade Cards Lincolnshire Village Churches 2nd Series 2007 Lincolnshire Village Churches 2nd Series 2007 LT6 - Robert Wilson’s been out with his camera again, researching and photographing his local ecclesiastic heritage in the form of the village churches scattered around the Lincolnshire Wolds, including St. Margaret’s at Somersby with its octagonal font where Tennyson was baptised, and the parish church at Tattwell dedicated to St. Vedast a 6th century French bishop. Wilson Horse Racing and the Turf Hunting with The South Wold 2000 Hunting with The South Wold 2000 L10 - These colourful Hunting scenes were photographed in Lincolnshire with the South Wold pack, mostly along the former Great Northern Railway line which ran up the east side of the county to Grimsby, during the 1999-2000 season. For how much longer this activity will be around for is anyone’s guess, but meanwhile you can follow the red-coated horsemen and their hounds on these cards. They are numbered and have descriptive Backs. Size 79x62mm

Wilson has spread his net wider to encompass both old tractors and traction engines in this series of colour photographs snapped at shows and rallies in Lincolnshire in 2003. Included is the rare Ferguson 4 x 4 of which only four are known. The models shown were manufactured between 1913 and 1942. Gold borders and descriptive backs. Size 78 x 63mm.
