This selection starts with “The Sea Spoilers” (1936) and “Seven Sinners” (1940) followed by five great action movies set in World War II, the most famous of which is probably “Sands of Iwo Jima” with Wayne as the gritty Sergeant Stryker. Sporting Profiles Football Cardiff City FC European Adventure 1964-70 Programme Covers 2005 Cardiff City FC European Adventure 1964-70 Programme Covers 2005 L20 - Cardiff City Football Club has had its moments, not the least of which is their claim as the only non-English team to have won the F.A. Cup. That was in 1927. Forty years later, the “Bluebirds” were in the midst of a purple period, as become apparent from card no. 14 in this new series, the Cardiff City players pictured on the front of the SV Hamburg programme for the semi-final of the European Cup Winners Cup on April 24th, 1968, with Brian Harris who played in all nine games of the club’s cup run, as captain. The games on the other programmes include those against Real Zaragoza, Torpedo Moscow and F C Porto. Could do with more information on the backs. Size 78 x 60mm.
