Sporting Profiles Pop Stars & Singers Beatles Concert Posters Volume 1 UK Tour 2016 Beatles Concert Posters Volume 1 UK Tour 2016 L12 - This fascinating set of cards shows us concert posters for UK venues played by The Beatles from their early days at the Kingsway Club, Southport through to their Royal Command Performance at the London Palladium in 1963. The posters are full of interesting details, for instance we see they topped the bill at the Odeon, Llandudno alongside Billy J Kramer and The Dakotas, they were the stars of Jive-Night at the YMCS in Birkenhead, were playing their “latest recording ‘Love Me Do’ at the Royal Lido Ballroom, Prestatyn, headlined the ‘Dancing for Teens & Twenties’ at the Royal Hall, Harrogate and could be seen for one night only at the ABC Theatre in Blackpool. The backs make up into a picture of the band. A real trip down memory lane and I wonder how many of these venues still survive. Size 78 x 60mm.

C. Stadium in Washington where they were supported by the Cyrkle and the Ronettes who also supported them at Candlestick Park and Suffolk Downs Racetrack in Boston and the New Busch Memorial Stadium, St Louis, Missouri. Mostly in colour these are an interesting look at their popularity in the States and the numbered black and white backs make up into a sectional picture of the youthful looking band. Size 78 x 60mm.
