Alices Attic Miscellaneous Trade Cards Fry?s Chocolate Advertising Postcards from the early 1900s (2012) Fry?s Chocolate Advertising Postcards from the early 1900s (2012) EL16 - In postcard size (145 x 88mm) and, indeed, with numbered postcard backs, these are reproductions of advertisement postcards by various artists extolling the purity and desirability of Fry's Cocoa and Chocolate, often with a comic touch involving children, during what appears to be the era leading up to World War I, hence no. 1 'With Captain Scott at the South Pole' shows Fry's products among the stores on the explorer’s sledge and includes “Makers to H.M. the King” probably dating this one at least to 1912.
