Here we have a trio of American TV comedy shows – Full House, Family Matters and Perfect Strangers – and this card series provides twenty-six cards for each (plus two checklists) split between character cards with the actors’ biography on the backs, and episode cards with story on the backs. Nicely done, and interesting even for someone like me who’s not acquainted with these programmes. See 89 x 64mm.

You always know what to expect when Arnie Schwarzenegger stars i.e. loads of violent action and this film by writer-director James Cameron does not disappoint featuring as it does ‘cyborgs’, relentless robots with a human exterior. Impel (USA) Star Trek Star Trek The Next Generation 1992 Star Trek The Next Generation 1992 LT120 - The original Star Trek sci-fi series set on the U.S.S. Enterprise appeared on TV back in the 1906s, but this set is based on its successor Star Trek The Next Generation which premiered on U.S. TV in 1987. The first three cards are commemorative and include Gene Roddenberry creator of this and the original series, then we are introduced to the crew including the Captain Jean-Luc Picard played by Patrick Stewart, Commander Riker, Lieutenant Commander Data etc., before moving on to alien starships and a detailed look at the Enterprise itself. Cards 65 to 73 look at equipment and tools such as phasers and the communicator, the next batch of 9 cards look at graphics and symbols like the seal of the United Federation of Planets and there is a section of ‘Behind the Scenes’ cards (Nos. 83 to 91) which look at things like make up, prosthetics and special effects. The remaining cards picture aspects of the spacecraft with comprehensive technical data on the backs and these are followed by a number of trivia cards and two checklists. The amount of detail and sci-fi explanation that make this stand out and this is a must for any Trekkie. Cards size 89 x 64mm.
