Football Collector Cards Football Top Star Football Cards (Footballers of the 1950s) 1st Series 2010 Top Star Football Cards (Footballers of the 1950s) 1st Series 2010 10 - These are black and white photos of footballers from the 1950s set within a red frameline with their name, club and mini footballer caricature underneath. The numbered backs sadly contain no information other than the player’s name and club and a black and white repeat of the caricature on the front. The ten concerned are Alf McMichael of Newcastle, Jimmy McIlroy of Burnley, Manchester City’s Roy Paul, Sunderland’s Trevor Ford, Ron Burgess of Spurs, Alf Sherwood of Cardiff, Leeds United’s John Charles, Ivor Allchurch of Swansea, Saint’s Fred Kierman and Dundee’s Billy Steel. In this batch are Chelsea’s Bill Dickson, Sheffield Wednesday’s Derek Dooley, Jimmy Scoular of Portsmouth, Dunfermline’s Bobby Hailstones (whose name is spelt incorrectly on the front), Hibs Willie Ormond, Celtic’s Bobby Evans, Alex Forbes of Arsenal, Hearts Willie Bauld, Third Lanark’s Jimmy Mason and George Young of Rangers.
