Futera (UK) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Chicken Run Stickers (Aardman Dreamworks Film) 2000 Chicken Run Stickers (Aardman Dreamworks Film) 2000 M180 - These stickers are from the brilliant Chicken Run animated film produced by Aardman (distributed in the U.S by Dreamworks), their first feature length film. It tells the story of a group of chickens led by the feisty Ginger (voiced by Julia Sawalha) as they try to escape from Tweedy’s Chicken Farm before they are turned into chicken pies. When a rooster named Rocky (voiced by Mel Gibson) crash lands in their pen they believe they have finally found a way out as he can teach them to fly over the fence. There then follow some humorous scenes as he tries to teach the chickens to fly whilst hiding the fact that he cannot fly either. Rocky falls for the clever Ginger and in the end the chickens pull together to make a plane which allows them all to escape to the safety of a deserted island. Good clean family fun that never goes out of favour as it is regularly repeated on television. Some of the colourful stickers can be assembled into blocks making up scenes from the film within an orange border, whilst others are individual pictures. The backs are numbered with company details of the issuers and distributing companies but no other information. Size 68 x 54mm.

Gaycon Birds, Butterflies & Moths British Butterflies 1963 British Butterflies 1963 25 - There is much to love about this butterfly set not least the fact that it also features the caterpillar and chrysalis of each butterfly, which are pictured in colour against a light blue background and the backs give basic information such as food, the type of area it likes and where it can be found. It was originally intended that a 2nd series of 25 cards would be issued making a series of 50 in total, as referred to on the card backs, but in fact no further series was issued. An album was also originally available to house these cards which was obtainable from the issuers for a 1/- postal order, as mentioned on the back. Included in this set is a Swallow Tail which is perhaps one of our most beautiful butterflies, the Speckled Wood butterfly who’s chrysalis looks a bit like a Cornish pasty, the Small White which is the enemy of all gardeners, the Silver-washed Fritillary which loves dog-violets and the Red Admiral which migrates over long distances. The cards are size 69 x 36mm
