Ardath Set of 50 Your Birthday Tells Your Fortune 1937

According to a recent survey, even those people who dismiss the idea that the stars can influence their lives check their horoscopes occasionally, particularly at the beginning of the year, so our 'Set of The Month' for January is a timely choice. It is Ardath's 1937 series of 50 Your Birthday Tells Your Fortune. There's a card for each day of the month with the front picturing a famous person whose birthday falls on that date whilst the back gives birthday portents. Nine precious stone cards follow these, each covering three or four dates, with the back how that stone rules the person's life. Next come nine Roman gods and goddesses on different colour backgrounds and the ?destiny colour cards' relating to the same groups of dates. The final card, no. 50, bears a bouquet of nine flowers listed on the back against the dates to which they refer. This is a cleverly thought out and well-produced set which will entertain ? as it says on the back "this series is issued solely for amusement".
