The 'Set of the Month' for August is a set of 25 cards issued in 1925 titled Regalia Series. This is a very good set with fine colour pictures of Britain's priceless royal regalia, some of which can be seen in the Tower of London and other items which appear only at a sovereign's coronation. It begins with the jewel-encrusted Imperial State Crown and ends with the 12th century Anointing Spoon, the oldest piece. The backs give a fascinating insight into our royal history, and among the interesting titbits we learn that the wonderful Koh-I-Noor diamond in the Tower is a fake, the real stone being kept at Windsor. It's a worthy addition to any collection.
