The world’s premier dog show, Cruft’s, is staged this month at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre. Those of you not attending can still enjoy the judging and the ‘fun’ parts on television. Of course. it’s difficult to tell how today’s champions compare with yesteryear’s, but you can bet that “Crackley Sure Thing”, the Fox Terrier (Wire) who won the Kennel Club’s “Best in Show” of 1933 would give a good account of himself. He is pictured in Gallaher’s L24 Dogs (caption in block) our Set of The Month for March. Other big show-circuit winners in the series include the amusingly-named English Setter “Whizbang Steadyfast Lady”, a Cocker “Whoopee of Ware” and “Wild Woolley” winner of the 1932 Greyhound Derby at White City in a record time of 29.72 seconds.
This set of L24 Dogs (caption in block letters) issued by Gallaher in Mint condition is catalogued at £30.00.
