exactly fifty years ago in November 1956, and is a series of 25 Famous
Sports Records issued with ‘Junior Service’ sweet cigarettes. This
really is a gallery of sporting legends whose names will still be
familiar today – Joe Louis, Don Bradman, Len Hutton, Billy Wright,
Stanley Matthews, Donald Campbell, Gordon Rrichards, Pat Smythe, Geoff
Duke, Edmund Hillary and Emil Zatopek, plus Chris Chataway and Roger
Bannister who had then just recently established new records. The
backs include informative texts summarising these great stars’
achievements
