| I remember enjoying Facchino’s
chocolate wafers when I was a child, and for all I know they are still
producing those delicious biscuits. Details of how they are made, or
at least how they were made in 1937, will be found on one of the cards
in their series of fifty How or Why?, our set of the month for June. I
particularly like this wide-ranging “do you know” series, which covers
such diverse topics as why cats see in the dark, why natives are black
and how the rainbow is formed, as well as answering a multitude of
other questions including those in the picture below. Good colourful
artwork graces the fronts, whilst the backs give us all the
information needed. An interesting series with many pictures
reminiscent of pre-war times, the set is offered in finest condition.
This set of Facchino K50 How or Why? 1937 in Very Good/Finest
Collectible condition is catalogued at £30.00.
