Topps (USA) Films, TV, Sci Fi & Comic Art Back To The Future Part II The Film Stickers 1989 Back To The Future Part II The Film Stickers 1989 LT11 - As the title suggests these stickers are from the Back to the Future II film in which Michael J Fox reprises his role as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyds again plays his wacky scientist friend ‘Doc’. Instead of going back to the past this time they travel in Doc’s DeLoren into the future (from 1985 to 2015) in order to sort out Marty’s grandchildren. As with the first film all sorts of mayhem follows and the film ends on a cliff-hanger with Doc accidentally transported back to 1885, which laid the grounds for the next sequel which was filmed immediately afterwards. This sticker set features action from the film whilst the cardboard backs contain a sectional picture of Marty. issued in conjunction with the set of 88 cards Size 89 x 64mm

Wills Reprinted Series Overseas Dominions Canada 1914 (C.C.S. reprint 2002) Overseas Dominions Canada 1914 (C.C.S. reprint 2002) 50 - Originally produced in 1914 these cards show the major Canadian industries of the time such as logging, farming, fishing and producing maple syrup as well as major cities, beautiful views, buildings ranging from humble backwoods cabins to government offices and even a picture of an ice-boat sailing on the frozen St. Lawrence River. I am sure much of the stunning countryside including the Rockies has hardly changed, but interestingly even in 1914 the cards described the Rockies as being largely unexplored and mapped. The numbered backs are full of fascinating information and these interesting and colourful cards are worth a place in anyone’s collection. Size 68 x 36mm. \r\n

Sporting Profiles Boxing Sugar Ray Robinson Programme Covers 2017 Sugar Ray Robinson Programme Covers 2017 L40 - American boxer Sugar Ray Robinson is remembered as one of the top boxers of all time. He was born Walker Smith Jr and turned professional in 1940 when just 19. In order to enter a tournament when still only 15 he borrowed the Amateur Athletic Union card of friend Ray Robinson and he continued to use the name. The ‘Sugar’ part was added when someone referred to him as ‘sweet as sugar’. These programme covers chart his boxing history starting in 1939, continuing through the late forties and early fifties when he held the welterweight title, his comeback from retirement in 1955 and ending with his fight against Armand Vanucci in 1963 which he won. The numbered backs have the name of his opponent and the year and result of his fight shown over a black and white picture of the great man. A lovely set for boxing fans. Size 88 x 60mm

Ogdens Reprinted Series Trick Billiards 1934 (C.C.S. reprint 2001) Trick Billiards 1934 (C.C.S. reprint 2001) 50 - These reprints, feature trick shots performed by A. Newman-Mond who was an expert at performing these. Indeed there is a British Pathe clip online from 1940 showing him in action. The cards feature the green baize of the table with diagrams showing how to hit the balls to achieve the shot required and the numbered backs give full details of how to achieve this. I particularly like the ‘Potting a ball with a penny’ trick which uses a penny resting against a cushion as a cue-ball and we are told that you just had to tap the coin with the cue and the penny would roll in an arc and knock in the ball at the other end of the table. Mr Newman-Mond assures us that “with a little practice this trick can be done almost every time”. Somehow I doubt that, but it does make you want to have a go. Size 68 x 36mm.
