There is a brand new eight-page section of 86 colour illustrations. The catalogue contains details of around 7,000 series of cigarette cards and silks issued at home and abroad from the 19th century to the present day, quoting values for sets and individual cards in top condition, produced in handy A5 size, plus giving details of over 40 reference and other books, cigarette card video etc. with 216 pages a must for every collector. The 2008 catalogue is cross referenced to the updated 2003 edition of The British Tobacco Issues Handbook amending old data from the original Handbooks parts 1 and 2, giving information on untitled or unnumbered series which will be a great help to identify cards

First published in 1974, this 33rd edition is devoted entirely to non-tobacco cards plus a section at the end of the catalogue which details reprinted series. This year’s edition has an extra eight pages making 184 in all, and a new section of colour illustrations covering 57 series with over 190 new entries. It gives an up-to-date price guide for odd cards, sets and special albums plus details of over 40 reference and other books, cigarette card video, auction dates for 2008 etc. The only major catalogue devoted to trade cards, and has around 6,000 entries covering a magnificent selection of issues by non-tobacco firms, such as the ever-popular series by Brooke Bond Tea, Bassett, A & BC Gum., Topps, Typhoo Tea etc., as well as the newer companies such as Rittenhouse, Skybox, Inkworks, Golden Era, Rockwell. Sets from the turn of the century, including Fry’s Chocolate and Cadbury’s issues right up to the latest series of Star Trek, Star Wars, Footballers etc.

it lists more than 1,500 superbly printed series of Chromos issued
(all except the earliest) by this company founded by Baron Von Liebig, and
which were given away as complete sets (usually of six cards) in exchange for
coupons. The catalogue includes the history of Liebig and covers issues from
the 1890s to the 1970s, giving the internationally recognised Fada reference
numbers and an English translation of the set title, plus, of course, the price
with many remarkably inexpensive at less than £5. Price
